- 29 years with the Canadian Red Cross (experience in following fields of work: overseas personnel, disaster /emergency management, international operations, prevention & safety & people services/human resources)
- In her current role, Louise is tasked with retaining successes from current and past volunteer engagement practices and reimagine new ideas and strategies to improve the volunteer experience within the CRC
- Disaster Response experience ranges from house fire response to international conflicts.
- Ice Storm 1998, 9/11, SARS, Peterborough Floods, South-East Asia Tsunami response, numerous northern Ontario evacuations (forest fires & floods), H1N1 Response, Hurricane Sandy response with American Red Cross, Alberta Floods 2013, Syrian Refugee Arrivals in 2015, several social emergencies in Northern Ontario, Asylum Seekers & Central and Eastern Ontario Floods in 2017.
- International Committee of the Red Cross:
- Peer-to-peer case study with the Afghanistan Red Crescent Society in 2011 – Review of the National Society’s policies, procedures and practices related to the safety of personnel in the delivery of services in a complex conflict environment
- Mission to Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire) in 1994 – Tracing Delegate (reuniting unaccompanied children with family, setting up the tracing program in Goma for 35,000 unaccompanied children & 1 million refugees)
- Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Concordia University in Montreal
