Learn about emergency preparedness for farm animals with guest speaker Danie Glanc, Farm Policy Analyst with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture.

This session will provide an overview of (1) Understanding Your Risks (2) Emergency Plans and Options (3) Emergency Planning and (4) Emergency Kits

Guest Speaker Bio:
Danie Glanc joined the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) as a Farm Policy Analyst in 2017.  In her role, Danie is responsible for agricultural science policy including farm animal care and welfare, wildlife and species-at-risk, antimicrobial resistance, cellular agriculture, and farm trespass issues. Her role at OFA promotes development, awareness, and advocacy of sound policy positions, and provides input on government, industry and stakeholder policies which have an impact on the Ontario agricultural sector. Danie is a graduate of Guelph University, with a Master of Science degree in Animal and Poultry Science with a focus on animal nutrition, and a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Animal Biology.
